Atlanta Motor Speedway is offering fans a chance to drive onto the high banks of its historic 1.54-mile oval to benefit Speedway Children’s Charities Atlanta.
The “Drive the Track” event will be held on Friday, July 17. You can drive your own vehicle onto the 24-degree banked turns and takes laps around the speedway behind the pace car.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Speedway Children’s Charities Atlanta.
Admission will be $15 per vehicle for three laps around the track and, to ensure limited contact during the experience, must be purchased online prior to arriving at the facility. For $10 more fans can drive their car on the track and take home a souvenir bundle which includes a collectable 2020 NASCAR race weekend souvenir program, a 1:64 scale 2020 program diecast car, an AMS 60th Anniversary shot glass, and an AMS 60th Anniversary fridge magnet.
Participants will enter at the main tunnel off Speedway Boulevard to have their tickets scanned and proceed into the speedway. To maintain social distancing guidelines during the event, participants will be required to remain in their vehicles while inside the facility.
