Southern Race Week host William Barber has over 20 years of experience as a journalist, motorsports marketing and even had his time as a race car owner and sponsor.
He attended his first race at the age of three with his dad at their local dirt
track and was hooked from that day. He began in media sales and publishing
before moving into TV & Radio broadcasting. William has also been an
Executive Producer and host of motorsports TV programs for national and
regional cable networks.

Billy Currington’s recent legal woes have gotten him bumped as the pre-race act before next month’s All-Star race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Billy has been replaced by Josh Turner at the May 18th event after he was charged with making terroristic threatsand abuse of an elderly person. He was released from jail after posting bond.
