I'm not one for conspiracies, but the lights going out in the Super Dome in New Orleans during the Super Bowl last night makes me wonder.

Let's face it, the game was spiraling out of control and fast for the San Francisco 49ers and then boom... the lights go out, the game is halted, and then restarts with an entirely different feeling and momentum.

Some will say that both teams had to endure, but it's a little different for the Ravens, which were up 28-6 at the time. For them, the game must have felt nearly over at that point with such a huge lead. To have to wait 34 minutes to start play again and be as hyped is just not realistic.

In contrast, the 49ers had all the reason to be jacked and use the lights coming back on as a spring board to turn their fortunes around.
