Amateur video broadcast on Russian television showed an object speeding across the sky about 9:20 a.m. local time (0320 GMT), leaving a thick white contrail and an intense flash.
A series of explosions in the skies of Russia’s Urals region, reportedly caused by a meteorite shower, has sparked panic in three major cities. Witnesses said that houses shuddered, windows were blown out and cellphones have stopped working.
Whoah... this is crazy and would probably scare the you-know-what out of most of us. This also occurred just before today where an asteroid will come within 17,000 miles of Earth.
After the latest incident involving a fire on the Carnival Triumph that left the 900 foot ship without propulsion, it begs the question if cruises are safe. Safe or not, this latest event was a vacation gone very bad for many folks - including hallways filled with toilet water, lack of food, having to sleep in hallways, and many frayed nerves.
