- Last year in Oakland, Francouer struck up a friendship with the folks in the stands near him after a fan gave him a plate of bacon treats. (The fans were celebrating "Bacon Tuesday.") The next game Francouer threw a ball into the stands with a $100 bill and a note saying, "Beer or bacon dog on me."
- This year when Francouer came back to town the bleacher crew made "Bacon Tuesday" T-shirts proclaiming Francouer as their sponsor. They gave him a shirt -- and more bacon treats. The following night he paid them back by ordering 20 pizzas for the bleacher fans and giving them an autographed bat that said, "RF Bleachers, keep cooking bacon, Jeff Francoeur."
- Jeff is a vocal and outspoken born-again Christian. On the strap of his left batting glove, Francoeur has the phrase "Joshua 1:9" written, referencing the Bible verse.
