- Tim is a Georgia Boy! He was born in Columbus, Georgia.
- Tim got married right after the 1999 season. His wife, Kimberley, is an attorney. The couple has two daughters, Kennedie and Tess, and one son, Kade, and currently live just south of Atlanta in Peachtree City, Georgia.
- Tim started the Hudson Family Foundation, which is a charity that simply put, helps others. Fund-raising for various causes, scholarships, and the promotion of education, among other positive causes.
