Yesterday, I said goodbye to my best friend of 14 years, Bailey.  It was an extremely tough day, but we were so lucky to get to spend her entire last day together.  We even had a sackful of plain McDonald's hamburgers for lunch!  :-)

We all know that this has to happen eventually with the animals that we love, but it never makes it any easier.

I hope you enjoy these pictures that I dug out of her life and mine... the first picture below is from 1998 -- and it was taken when I met Bailey for the first time.  (I'm still not exactly sure what I was thinking with that hair!)

Thanks to everyone for the calls and emails of support.  I'm looking forward to being back on the air Monday.
