Can you believe Thanksgiving is two weeks away?  The Thanksgiving episode of Trisha Yearwood’s cooking show, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, airs on the Food Network on Saturday -- and we got Trisha to share her secret for the perfect bird. She has recipes for cornbread dressing, a sweet potato soufflé and her family’s No Baste, No Bother Roasted Turkey.

“It’s so easy, you don’t stay up all night and baste this turkey, you pour boiling water in it, and you cook it at a really high, high temperature for an hour and then you turn off the over and then you go to bed. When you get up in the morning, it is still hot, still cooking and people don’t believe it. They’re like, ‘There’s no way,’ or ‘How do you not get salmonella poisoning?’ I’m like, ‘It works.’ As long as you don’t open the oven door, the oven is so hot that it continues to cook.”

Garth Brooks makes a cameo too!  Trisha’s Southern Kitchen airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET on the Food Network.

Looks like Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley will be going under the knife in December. He’s scheduled to have eye surgery next month after struggling to read the teleprompter during the Willie Nelson tribute at last week’s CMAs.

TOBY KEITH'S 15-year-old son Stelen Covel is one of the high school football studs picked to be on the U.S. team of the 2013 Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl.  They'll be playing a team of Canadian All-Stars on January 6th in San Antonio, Texas(--Covel is Toby's real last name, but you already knew that.  Check out a photo of Stelen, he looks a lot like Daddy.)
