It looks like Taylor Swift may be ringing in the New Year in New York City. Ryan Seacrest let it slip that the headlining artist for the bash is a “female artist that’s setting records in terms of what she’s selling, recently”. Taylor's latest album Red sold 1.2 million copies in its first week in stores.

Rascal Flatts and actress Hayden Panettiere are joining forces to host the third annual CMT Artists of the Year special. The 90-minute special will celebrate some of country music’s biggest artists and their accomplishments this year. The 2012 CMT Artists of the Year special will air on December 8th at 11 PM.
